💞It’s Valentines Day and I have message of love to you today – from God.💞 I want share with you one of the amazing ways God show his love to us. It has to do with the farthest thing from love – FEAR. What? Fear? How does Fear have anything to do with Love? That’s just it – Fear and Love cannot exist together. Like oil and water – they don’t mix. In the Bible says that “There is no love in fear, but perfect love casts out fear.” (1 John 4:18). Read on to see how this all works out…
All of us experiance fear at one time or another – usually we deal with it and it’s gone. But there are times in each of our lives where fear attacks us and we feel powerless against it. It takes over every part of our thoughts and lives and we can’t find a way out. I have good news – there is a way out! I found it this morning in my time with Jesus:
“Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
“Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored;
Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.
“You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them,
Those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent.“For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand,
Isaiah 41:10-13
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’”
What a promise from the God of the Universe to each of us today! He holds our right hand (which means our dominant hand – whether right or left). How interesting…that’s the hand that we do pretty much everything with – and it’s being held by God. So how are we supposed to do anything to get rid of fear if we can’t use our own strength?
You got it! We don’t do anything – HIS right hand does it all. He’s has our right hand in his left hand. That way his right hand is free to do all the work in destroying fear in us. Now that I think about it – my own strength hasn’t had much power over fear at all. And his right hand is so strong that nothing can stand up against it! His hand does what ours could never do! Wow!
But there’s the catch…he’s not going to grab your hand without you permission. That’s not how he does things. He always gives you the choice. He is holding out his hand to take yours so he can save you from fear. Now it’s up to you…
If you reach your hand out and let him take it in his, he will free you from fear. You can be assured that this will happen because he said it in those verses we just read, and God does not lie. Why not stop reading right now and reach out your hand in faith and place it in his? Now that your hand in his, let’s go back to those same verses we just. Read them through again, but this time do it with your hand in his. Ask him to show you the truth about you that is written there. Here are the verses:

💞And that’s God’s Valentine message of love to you today.💞. Take some time to talk with Jesus about your fear in light of those verses. Why not get out your journal or a notebook and write down what he just showed you. Then with your hand still in the Lord’s, take a moment to listen to this song… It says it all – Love and Fear Don’t Mix…
